), type your location, and swipe around to the time of day you're interested in. It shows you a 3D map of how the sunlight vs shade will interact with all objects, even trees, based on their height! There's another app I've mentioned here a few times over the years.(

). They use augmented reality with your actual phone's camera to overlay the position of the sun (or moon!) with where you are: This is extremely helpful if the sunset is officially at 8:30 pm, but falls below a treeline, or building, etc. earlier than that.
