Description
This course is the second part of the lecture series of Operations Research course. It takes you through various topics like Assignment Model, Transportation Model, Monte Carlo Method of Simulation, Queuing Theory, Duality in LPP, Converting Primal to Standard Form and Dual Simplex Method. Various numerical are solved to explain the concepts and their applications. Basic Mathematics and Basic Knowledge of Management subjects are the requirement for understanding of this subject.We start with Assignment Model theory and then take up numericals on six types namely, minimization, iterative, maximization, unbalanced, restriction on assignment and Travelling Salesman Problem.Further, we move to the concept of Transportation Model and then discuss about Northwest Corner Cell Method, Least Cost Cell Method and Vogel's Approximation Method(VAM). The solution further optimised using Modified Distribution(MODI) Method. Numericals are taken up on all the above topics.Third section deals with Monte Carlo Method of Simulation. Numericals are solved for the same. Fourth section discusses about the theory and numericals on Queuing Theory. Duality in LPP is explained in the fifth section along with numericals.Sixth section explains the theory and numericals are solved on the topic of Converting Primal to Standard Form.Lastly Dual Simplex Method is discussed in theory and numericals form.Happy Learning!
