Description
In this course, the structure of the AWBM model, required input datasets, calibration methods, sensitivity analysis, and analysis of the outputs are described completely. The Australian water balance model (AWBM) is a catchment water balance model that calculates runoff from rainfall at daily or hourly time increments. The Australian water balance model (AWBM) was developed in the early 1990s (Boughton, 1993a, Boughton and Carroll, 1993) and is now one of the most widely used rainfall-runoff models in Australia. In addition, in this course, I explained how to download precipitation and evapotranspiration datasets using online data sources. For precipitation, I chose the PERSIANN (Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Networks) products which are available in CHRS Data Portal. Also, for evapotranspiration, I completely explained the Earth2Obrsve reanalysis project, which is one the best online data sources for meteorological and hydrological variables. After watching this course, you can simulate runoff and calibrate the AWBM model or other similar conceptual hydrologic model for each case study using different datasets. If you have any questions or problems just keep in touch with me through email. I try my best to respond to all emails as soon as possible and help you to tackle all modeling-related issues.
