Description
This Course is meant for Under graduate students and graduates aspiring to learn computer networking.Especially, the concept of Internet Protocol (IP addressing), Subnetting and routing using Cisco routers. The hands-on labs will help the learners to prepare for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification. The labs cover configuration of subnetting, static routes and dynamic routes in a network comprising Cisco routers. The dynamic routing protocols covered in the course are Routing Information Protocol (RIP), Open Shortest Path First Protocol (OSPF) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP). The concept of each topic is explained first using presentation slides followed by configurations using Cisco Packet Tracer. The theoretical concept for each topic is covered thorougly. The configuration steps are explained very well the explaination of each command. Students will be able to understand the difference between routing table entries before and after configuration of dynamic routing protocols. They will also be clear with the routing metric calculation for each of the routing protocols and diffrentiate among them based on routing metric calculation. Students will be able to understand the calculation of shortest path in networks with alternate routing paths. They will be able to compare static and dynamic routing as well as different dynamic routing protocols.
